Monday, April 6, 2026 | Reality TV This Week
Finale season is officially here — and for reality TV fans, this week delivers one of the year’s most satisfying payoffs. Fox’s Extracted wraps its brutal sophomore run, Bravo’s Monday-through-weekend grid is overflowing with new episodes, and HGTV sneaks in a surprise premiere. Here is everything you need to know to plan your week.
The Week’s Big Story: Extracted Season 2 Finale on Fox
If you’ve been following Fox’s wilderness survival series Extracted since its January 26 return, tonight is the night you’ve been waiting for. Season 2’s finale, titled “Last One Standing” (Monday, April 6, 8:00–9:00 PM ET/PT, Fox), puts the final three survivalists through one last ordeal — island banishment — while their families battle for resources back at HQ. The $250,000 grand prize goes to whoever is still standing at the end.
The show has had a rocky ratings run this season, dipping from its 1.89 million premiere audience in late January, but it has maintained a dedicated following. The family dynamic at the core of the format — survivalists in the Canadian wilderness making sacrifices while their loved ones face their own challenges — gives it an emotional depth that straight survival competitions often lack. The finale will answer whether that format can deliver a satisfying ending worthy of all those early episodes of cold, mud, and psychological warfare.
It’s also worth noting that Memory of a Killer airs its finale immediately after at 9:00 PM on Fox, so the network is making Monday a full send-off night.
Bravo’s Week: From the Deck to the Housewives
Bravo remains the undisputed home of appointment reality television this week, with fresh episodes of practically its entire lineup running Monday through Sunday.
Below Deck Down Under (Bravo, Mondays 9/8c)
Below Deck Down Under Season 4 continues its strong run. The premiere drew an impressive 2.8 million viewers across platforms in its first seven days — remarkable for a spin-off that was once considered the franchise’s wildcard. The Australian waters and cast dynamics have proven to be exactly what the franchise needed after some rough seasons stateside.
Top Chef (Bravo, Thursdays 9/8c)
Top Chef Season 23 is deep into its competition arc. If you’ve been sleeping on this season, now is the time to catch up — the field has thinned considerably and the pressure cook-offs are getting intense.
The Real Housewives Slate
RHOBH, RHOA, and the new Real Housewives of Rhode Island (which premiered April 2) are all running new episodes this week. Rhode Island in particular is worth a look if you haven’t sampled it — the casting decisions feel fresh, and the early word from fans is that Andy Cohen delivered on the promise of something different for the East Coast.
Southern Hospitality & Summer House
Summer House Season 10 premiered to 2.0 million cross-platform viewers, and new episodes continue this week. Southern Hospitality rounds out the Bravo Thursday and Friday blocks.
HGTV Premiere: Tropic Like It’s Hot
Tropic Like It’s Hot makes its series debut Monday night on HGTV (10:00–10:30 PM ET). The tropical home series is new territory for a network that has leaned heavily on House Hunters marathons in recent months, and it comes alongside fresh episodes of Bachelor Mansion Takeover, Renovation Aloha, and Wild Vacation Rentals throughout the week. If you’re an HGTV regular, this is a rare week with multiple new offerings instead of reruns.
