American Idol returned to television for season 4, with a star-studded season full of talent from all genres. With hopefuls auditioning from all over the country, all-star judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie & Luke Bryan continued to search for the next American Idol. After weeks of narrowing down the season’s unforgettable talent, the iconic live shows returned, with fans receiving the opportunity to vote live-to-coast. In one particularly memorable live show, the top seven contestants took the stage to perform one song dedicated to the special loved ones in their lives in honor of Mother’s Day and a second song from the iconic Coldplay songbook, after being mentored by the band’s lead singer, Chris Martin. Season 4 concluded with the top three finalists taking the stage one last time in hopes of securing America’s Vote to become this season’s winner. They were joined alongside former contestants and renowned music artists for an unforgettable night of performances. Following a live coast-to-coast vote, America crowned Chayce Beckham the winner of Season 4 of American Idol.
